Examining Error Log for Test Run
Errors Report
Errors Report shows information on errors occurred during test
run.
HTTP error:
If you receive an HTTP error, it means that there are problems with the work of web server.
Socket error:
Socket error means bad connectivity; it indicates that there are problems with data transfer
through the socket.
Timeout: It is either response timeout
(the maximum time of waiting for server response), or
socket timeout
(the maximum time of waiting for socket operation).
Click on Errors Report subfolder of Summary Report folder in Navigation
Pane to display the report.
The whole test duration interval is divided into the number of intervals
equal to HTML report dimension
value. The program calculates averaged values through these intervals.
The Total column of each table shows the results averaged through the
whole test duration interval for each profile.
The Total row of each table shows the results summed over all user profiles.
Pages with errors
This table shows the number of pages executed with errors.
Hits with errors
This table shows the number of hits executed with errors.
HTTP reply codes
This table shows HTTP reply codes for each request in test sequence
and how many times the requests got these codes.
The first digit of reply code defines the class of reply. There are 5 values for the
first digit:
2xx: Success - The action was successfully received, understood, and accepted;
3xx: Redirection - Further action must be taken in order to complete page request;
4xx: Client Error - Page request contains bad syntax or cannot be fulfilled;
5xx: Server Error - Server failed to fulfil an apparently valid page request.
HTTP errors %
This table shows percentage of responses with HTTP errors from the total
number of responses to pages of this profile.
Socket errors %
This table shows percentage of responses with socket errors from the
total number of responses to pages of this profile.
Timeouts %
This table shows percentage of timeouts (response timeouts and socket timeouts) from the
total number of responses to pages of this profile.
Total errors % This table shows percentage of all responses with errors from the
total number of responses to pages of this profile.
Saving the Errors Report
You can save the Errors Report as HTML file in required location.
For this, right-click on the displayed
report and select Save Current Report to HTML... option on the context menu. In the displayed dialog,
enter file name, select a location and click Save.
You will be able to view this report
later, any time you wish just from web browser.
It is also a convenient way to transfer test results to any interested person.
